ATMF Katmandu is a unique, solid, sporty athlete, bred and built for the highly competitive open sports—yet has the style and grace from his elegant and powerful show lines to also please modern Morgan judges with his lovely long neck, deep square hip and strong powerful trot. His ultra sweet patience with my disabilities allowed me to start and train him myself. Though just beginning his show and breeding careers we believe he will pass on these important qualities.
Katmandu is the only breeding son of the stunning ATMF Against The Wind. Or from his beautiful dam, ATMF Illusion. This same strong cross produced six outstanding foals. Concentrating the dynamic size and power of their sensational sire, ATMF Superstition (by the radiant Rapidan Apollo), solidifies our select foundation of big strong Brunk and Government Morgans to which we added the elegant neck and pretty curves of Chasley Superman (3x’s) through World Champion's Rapidan Apollo and Figures Courageous also brought in the perfect touch of Lippitt and UVM. Katmandu’s rare double cream gene came though our beautiful Higuera Sondarling and his lovely maternal sister ATMF Bit O’Honey. They carried a touch of Kingston, Vigilmarch, Dondarling, and many more. Katmandu is the only cremello Morgan stallion of such illustrious World Champion breeding and quality. That he also guarantees a colored foal is extra fun!
Helping confirm our decision to stand Katmandu are the fabulous first foals his lovely sisters produced by the terrific Astronomically son, WRR Astro Boy, whose dam is by the incomparable Serenity Masterpiece. They proved yet again how the careful outcross of ATMF’s bedrock strengths with these showy athletes produces excellent in-hand quality winners ready for show, sport and pleasure.
