In the world of Morgan horses, a few stallions transcend their time--not just as performers, not just as producers, but as paradigm -shifters. They don't merely sire foals; they spark bloodline revolutions. They don't just win titles; they redefine type. One such stallion was born in 1992, a gleaming bay, with a striking eye, regal carriage, and a name that--decades later--is still on everyone's lips.
This is the story of DBA Street Talk.
A Stallion of Substance and Style.
DBA Street Talk was the product of a pairing that brought together the brilliance of Serenity Masterpiece and the rich, grounded genetics of the Devan lines. His sire, the legendary 1988 Park Saddle World Champion Serenity Masterpiece, was already turning heads with his own show career and was producing foals with remarkable presence and motion. On his dams side, Kings Glow Cherish contributed the substance and depth of Devan Pride and Devan Danvere--a deliberate linebreeding choice that proved potent.
This cross--elegance over strength, charisma over consistency--produced a colt who would later be described as "a show horse outcross, with show horse results". And that he was.
He is, first and foremost, a sire of great daughters. Eighty three of them to be exact--many now found at the heart of premier breeding programs around the world. He passed on upright necks, clean limbs, expressive eyes, and that unmistakable "look at me" presence that can't be taught. He didn't just improve mares--he transformed programs.
Among his first foals came cachet-building performers like WWW Reality Check Dot Com, Minion Mademoiselle, and Prediction--early signals that Street Talk would stamp his get with refinement, attitude, and motion.
Cache BHOF and the Queens: A Broodmare Revolution
Street Talk's greatest daughter is arguably Cache BHOF, a mare whose name appears in bold across Morgan history. Out of Fleeting Heart, Cache became the all-time leading dam of World Champions and a cornerstone of the Indian Creek program. His impact through daughters continues to build with each generation: • Trade Secrets, dam of the multi-titled Bada Bing• Wide Eyed Innocence BHOF, full sister to Street Talk , who produced two World Champion mares, a Reserve Champion stallion, and is the grand dam of another World Champion mare.
Street Talk has produced stallions like CBMF Tipping Point, a standout performer in the UK, and CBMF Urban Legend, praised by breeders and trainers alike for his promise and progeny.
In a breed saturated with Waseeka’s In Command bloodlines, DBA Street Talk offered something different. He brought Devan back in focus--not through Fleetwing, but through a blend of Captor, Hawk King, and OCR. He is Serenity Masterpiece's most Devan-bred son, and his outcross appeal allowed breeders to reintroduce type, motion, and elegance with consistency.
He was never a "one type" sire. His get could be athletic or upright, bold or sweet-faced, but they were always unmistakably Morgan. And while he only produced 17 stallions who remained intact, those sons--like Tipping Point and Urban Legend--continue to build on their sire’s genetic gift.
His influence echoes from Oklahoma City to overseas. His descendants stand in England, Canada, and across the U.S.--showing, producing, and proving what can happen when you combine the best of both worlds.
