Luke is a son of Chris' heart horse Sandrock Joel. Per Chris, he is a full Lippitt, and there is no doubt when you see him, a Morgan. He looks black but is technically a brown. He tested EE Aa. A homozygous black with one brown agouti gene. That means he won’t ever produce a chestnut. We feel very fortunate to have this son of Joel’s to pass on all of the traits that are so important to our breeding program. He has the type, disposition, athleticism and conformation that we seek as a result of every breeding to carry on for his sire. Luke is producing correct foals with excellent dispositions. He earned the title Champion Senior Horse at the first Star Rated Morgan Ranch Horse competition with my nephew Josey Sutton riding. He began his reining training with JM Performance Horses in the fall of 2018. Since then he has come home to breed mares but has mostly has been in training. We spent the summer of 2021 going to every reining show in Montana. We were the only Morgan horse there. Then in October of 2021 we headed to OKC and the Grand National and World Championship show.
We are proudly offering him at stud frozen semen only for 2024. There is a possibility of fresh cooled for a short window 2024. Contact us for more information.
